The Redskins got another hard-nosed effort from Alfred Morris on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to get them the win. We break down the fantasy implications.

Mike Shanahan and Kyle Shanahan remained committed to running the ball with Morris, who picked up several yards after contact and moved the chains despite the Philadelphia Eagles stacking the box. Morris finished the afternoon with 22 carries for 93 yards, but scored no touchdowns due to several stalled, fruitless drives by the offense.
Fantasy Spin: This is one of those times when a running back can have a good game on the field but a poor one on the fantasy scoreboards. The nine points in both standard and PPR leagues aren’t going to leave fantasy owners particularly thrilled, but this once again gives owners the validation that Morris will shoulder the load week in and week out, and make something of his opportunities.
Morris faces a tough matchup next week versus the imposing front seven of the San Francisco 49ers. But barring a bizarre turn of events, Morris should get his usual workload, and is always a bet to rack up the yards. Even in less than ideal circumstances, Morris is firmly entrenched as an RB2 with RB1 upside.
