Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams was not involved much on Monday night versus a New England Patriots defense that had its hands full with Cam Newton.
DeAngelo Williams invisible to fantasy owners on Monday night
The Carolina Panthers didn’t get much from their running backs on Monday night, but it was enough to eke out a close victory versus the New England Patriots. We break down the fantasy implications.

Williams carried the ball just six times for 14 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards. His eight total touches matched his lowest output of the season, which was set last week versus the San Francisco 49ers. Mike Tolbert equaled Williams' six carries, but Newton who led the team with seven.
Fantasy Spin: With Tolbert, Newton and now Jonathan Stewart in the mix, there just isn't enough wealth to go around in the Carolina running game. As a result, it's too difficult to trust Williams going forward, especially as an afterthought when the team nears the goal line. Williams hasn't logged more than 64 yards in a game since his 120-yard outburst versus the New York Giants in Week 3, and hasn't provided any evidence to suggest he will return to that sort of production. Williams is an RB3 at best in Week 12 versus the Miami Dolphins.
