Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell asserted his value in the passing game as the team's offense continues to improve.
Brandon LaFell provides fantasy owners in deep leagues with 59 yards and touchdown
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell reached pay dirt on Monday night, which was enough to lift the team over the New England Patriots. We break down the fantasy implications.

LaFell cashed-in on an early touchdown reception, making an important catch over the middle and reaching the end zone despite taking a big hit in the process. While Lafell's night peaked with that play, he did lead the Panthers with seven catches and eight targets on the night. It was a much-needed contingency plan for Cam Newton with Steve Smith consumed by Aqib Talib for most of the evening. LaFell finished second on the team with 59 yards.
Fantasy Spin: LaFell followed up his impressive effort versus the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 with an appropriate encore. The Panthers' No. 2 receiver has now found the end zone four times on the season, and unsurprisingly has only put up respectable fantasy totals when he has. Steve Smith is still the top Panthers receiving option to be had going forward, although LaFell's trajectory arrow is pointing upward as the offense continues to click. Consider him a boom-or-bust WR4 versus the underrated Miami Dolphins secondary in Week 12.
