The Minnesota Vikings will stick with Christian Ponder as the starting quarterback for Week 12, according to Chip Scoggins of of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Ponder was benched in the team's 41-20 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, leading some to think the team could go with Matt Cassel or Josh Freeman in Week 12.
Christian Ponder to start Sunday, fantasy value extremely low
Christian Ponder will start against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota will take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. The last time Ponder played the Packers, he threw two interceptions. He also threw two interceptions against the Seahawks, one of which was taken back for a touchdown. At that point, he was benched in favor of Cassel, who himself was largely ineffective. Cassel completed five of 13 pass attempts with one touchdown and one interception.
On the season, Ponder has completed 128 of 201 passes for 1,375 yards with six touchdowns and nine interceptions. Cassell has went 57-for-88 with 614 yards and four touchdowns against three interceptions. Freeman has started one game, completing 20 of a whopping 53 pass attempts for 190 yards and an interception.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners should stay far, far away from any of the Minnesota quarterbacks. The fact that this is the case against a rather poor Green Bay secondary should be enough evidence against starting any of these players. However, if you have to play Ponder, he’ll get the start.
