New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday, according to a report by ESPN's Rich Cimini. Holmes caught two passes for 71 yards in the team's 38-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans last week.
Santonio Holmes misses practice to rest up for fantasy stretch drive
The Jets receiver was not at practice Wednesday to give his hamstring a break. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Holmes not practicing is considered a rest day. The Jets can’t be too cautious, considering he missed five games and it’s easy to re-aggravate a pulled hamstring.
Although he only caught two passes in Week 11, both Holmes’ receptions went for more than 30 yards. The best news for his fantasy owners is that he was targeted eight times, so he’s right back in the thick of things as the Jets’ top pass catcher.
However, the Jets offense can be rather anemic sometimes under rookie quarterback Geno smith, so Holmes will have his share of ups and downs. He’s worth a start in deeper leagues, but he’s definitely not in the upper echelon of fantasy wide receivers.
The Jets take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. The Ravens rank in the middle of the pack in points conceded to fantasy receivers.
