Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: Darren Sproles remains must start so long as active
Darren Sproles is questionable for Thursday night’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles is questionable for Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday. He has injuries to his knee and ankle, meaning he could be a game-time decision for their Thursday night game against the Atlanta Falcons.
There aren’t many players that are one of a kind, but not New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles. He’s one of the most talented backs in the passing game and he’s a near perfect fit for the Saints. He leads all backs in receiving yards and has caught 48 of his 59 targets.
Sproles is the master of the wheel route and it’s something the Saints will use him on in about every drive. He is coming in a bit cold with his 35 yards from scrimmage against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense. Before that, he was tremendous with two scores, seven receptions and 88 yards from scrimmage in a drubbing of the Dallas Cowboys back in Week 10.
Fantasy impact: PPR owners don’t have to even read this to know they’re going to start Sproles this week. As for a standard, he put up 110 yards from scrimmage against the Falcons in Week 1, but he is questionable. Considering the injury, he’s more of a flex in standard formats. If he’s active, he should be in the vast majority of lineups.
