What a difference a year makes. Last year, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan broke out and was one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league. In his first four games last season, he threw for a combined 11 TDs to go with a passer rating of at least 101 in every game.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: Matt Ryan could turn things around this week
Matt Ryan isn’t the QB1 fantasy owners drafted, but he gets a good chance to turn in some production vs. the Saints on Thursday.

The stats – and wins – haven’t been there for Ryan and the Falcons. He has just 18 TDs on the season and is on pace for 19 picks, which would shatter his previous career high of 14. He’s also on pace for just 3,728 yards, a far cry from his 4,719 yards from his breakout season.
The Falcons not having Julio Jones has really made a huge road block for them in both play design and execution.
Fantasy impact: The short week isn’t going to help, but this is a solid matchup for the Falcons passing attack. The Saints are going to score a lot of points and the loss of Jabari Greer (ACL) should open up the passing game a bit. Ryan is a low-end QB1 this week and he might be able to finally start getting his season turned around.
