Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas appeared in team practice Thursday, but was "very limited," according to USA Today sportswriter Lindsay Jones. Thomas, who was injured in Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, did return to the game briefly after the injury, but left again.
Julius Thomas ‘very limited’ in practice; fantasy owners might look elsewhere
The Broncos tight end is dealing with a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

The tight end, in his first healthy season after two injury-plagued ones, has caught 45 passes for 590 yards and 10 touchdowns so far this season. He ranks a distant second in fantasy scoring among tight ends behind the New Orleans Saints' Jimmy Graham.
Fantasy impact: While the team's other banged-up pass-catcher, Wes Welker, returned to practice Thursday, Thomas looks less likely to make it back to the field in time for Sunday. The Broncos are playing in the Sunday night game, with only Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots, Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers and Jordan Reed of the Washington Redskins as starting tight ends starting at the same time as Thomas or later.
With Gronkowski and Davis both widely owned and Reed dealing with injury issues of his own, fantasy owners might want to look elsewhere, as there’s a decent chance Thomas is a game-time decision, and if he’s a late scratch there won’t be much to fall back on.
