Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez is active for the team's Thursday night matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Tony Gonzalez active on Thursday for Falcons, fantasy owners
The Atlanta Falcons offense has dealt with countless absences because of injury, but Tony Gonzalez will not account for one of those this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gonzalez has now practiced once a week in back-to-back weeks, but suited up for games both weeks. Last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gonzalez participated in 50 of the team's 74 snaps despite his ongoing toe ailment, and more can be expected this week after getting a vote of confidence from head coach Mike Smith.
Fantasy Spin: Much of Gonzalez’s workload came while the team was in catch-up mode in Week 11, and that has been familiar territory for the Falcons all season. Expect them to deploy that once again versus the NFC’s top-scoring offense, something that Gonzalez’s fantasy owners will welcome. With a plus matchup ahead and with another week removed from a toe injury, expect the future hall-of-famer to build from his seven-catch, 63-yard performance from Week 11. Fantasy owners can comfortably leave him in their lineups as a TE1.
