The Tampa Bay Buccaneers turned some heads with their ground game on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. Bobby Rainey busted loose to the tune of 163 rushing yards on 30 carries, adding two catches for four yards and three total scores.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: Bobby Rainey has solid upside
Waiver-wire superstar Bobby Rainey will look to stay hot on Sunday. Should you roll the dice in fantasy?

That single game was more than his entire career in yards from scrimmage, TDs and carries, so those that have him on their team don’t exactly have a large sample size when it comes to determining how much staying power he’ll have.
This week, the Bucs get another decent matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions have done a nice job in keeping running backs in check, but they’re giving up more points these days as a whole. They gave up 27 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and before that they gave up an average of 24.5 points to the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy impact: The Bucs are a running team and there’s no other way to slice it. After getting a whopping 30 carries on Sunday, fantasy owners should be hard-pressed to in finding a better better option than Rainey. He’s a high-upside RB in most formats this week.
