Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin has defied the odds for most of his football career. He went from a walk-on at Penn State to a starter in his senior year. He went undrafted this year, but impressed the Raiders in training camp and made the roster over fourth-round pick Tyler Wilson.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Matt McGloin is desperation play
The undrafted rookie had an impressive debut last week. Is he worth an add in fantasy leagues?

Nobody expected much when Oakland named him the starting quarterback over Terrelle Pryor last week, but he exceeded expectations again. McGloin completed 18-of-32 passes for 197 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, leading the Raiders to a win over the Houston Texans. Pryor's knee is healthy now, but the Raiders are sticking with McGloin as the starter against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy impact: McGloin is a great feel-good story, but he'll have a tougher fantasy matchup against Tennessee's defense. Denarius Moore isn't expecting to play, making Rod Streater the No. 1 receiving option against Alterraun Verner and company. McGloin is worth a roster stash in deeper leagues, but he'll just be a desperation QB2 play unless he proves that last week's performance wasn't a fluke.
