Wes Welker injury: Broncos WR probable, should play for fantasy owners
Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is probable for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Welker is dealing with a concussion sustained in the team's Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Welker left that game in the fourth quarter and did not return.
Welker missed practice on Wednesday, and was limited on Thursday. On Friday, he was listed as a full participant in team practice. Players who suffer concussions have to pass multiple tests before being allowed to play, including a final test on Saturday. If there’s no news by early Sunday, Welker should be starting.
It’s obviously a big storyline, as Welker had the best years of his career with the Patriots, who let Welker walk over what many believe to be a trivial amount of money in the end, especially given how terrible the Patriots have been at the receiver position this season.
Fantasy Impact: Welker has been solid this season, catching 61 passes for 648 yards with nine touchdowns. He’s the third-leading receiver on the team, though he’s tied for second in touchdowns behind Julius Thomas (10) and leads the team in receptions. Welker will likely see even more passes his way if Thomas doesn’t play, as he is officially questionable for the game.
