The Week 12 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns should be a close one. We have all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger is on fire fantasy-wise of late. At least, he has been in two of the last three games. Combining his Week 11 performance against the Detroit Lions and his Week 9 totals against the New England Patriots, Roethlisberger's numbers are jaw-dropping. He has eight touchdown passes and 767 passing yards in those two contests. That's boosted his season average to 290 passing yards per game.
This week's game against the Browns is not likely to be a shootout, but Roethlisberger will no doubt connect with receiver Antonio Brown. Brown's recent production has mirrored that of his quarterback. He has over 300 yards receiving and three touchdowns over the last three games. That makes him easily the most consistent and potent weapon the Steelers have on offense. He'll no doubt be blanketed by cornerback Joe Haden on Sunday though, which is something for fantasy owners to consider.
Cleveland Browns
Coming into the season, few expected the Browns to be competing at the end of November, but they are still hanging on. A change at quarterback by the team's coaching staff has helped. That said, Jason Campbell threw three interceptions last week against the Cincinnati Bengals after not turning the ball over at all in his previous two games. The Steelers secondary boasts some big names, so it'll be interesting to see if Campbell can get back on track and keep the Browns in the game on Sunday.
If Campbell is to have success, he and receiver Josh Gordon will have to stay on the same page. Gordon caught five passes for 125 yards and a touchdown last week and was targeted a team-high 15 times in the game. Though catching one out of every three targets is less than impressive for a premier receiver, fantasy owners have to like the odds of some steady production when a pass catcher is targeted so often. Time will tell if Campbell and Gordon can do their thing against the Steelers.
