Fantasy football projections, Week 12: Cowboys vs. Giants featuring Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Victor Cruz

The Week 12 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants is a classic division rivalry that could really alter the playoff picture. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Quarterback Tony Romo looked less than impressive against the New Orleans Saints last week. It was a huge disappointment for the Cowboys considering a shootout is almost a guarantee when traveling to New Orleans. The Saints put up 49 points in the game and Romo could only find the end zone once. He completed just 10 passes in the game, which represents his lowest total of the season in that regard.

Romo's rough start crushed any hope of fantasy dominance from wide receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant caught just one pass for 44 yards last week and was only targeted twice. Bryant has just one 100-yard game over the last five weeks. That's simply not good enough for a top-flight fantasy pass catcher. He'll no doubt be better against an average Giants secondary in a big game.

Victor Cruz finally has his groove back for fantasy owners. Cruz caught eight passes for 110 yards against the Green Bay Packers last week. The performance marked the first time in six weeks Cruz has eclipsed 100 yards. As much as that's encouraging it's been a disappointing season to say the least for Cruz. He has four touchdowns on the year. Three of them were in the opening game of the season. The only good news about that is, that three-touchdown game was against the Cowboys.

The Giants' new found ability to run the ball may be a big reason for Cruz's and the team's turn around. Andre Brown has brought in some much needed stability in that regard. He's carried the ball 48 times in the last two weeks for 181 yards and 3.8 yards per carry. He'd ideally like to get over the four yards per carry mark no doubt, but as long as he's getting lots of carries, he'll maintain lots of value for his fantasy owners.
