Adrian Peterson will start for Vikings, fantasy owners
The Vikings won’t have to deal with the absence of their best player, as the reigning NFL MVP is slated to take the field on Sunday versus the Green Bay Packers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to a groin injury, but returned Friday at a limited basis. Despite the lack of activity during the week, he is slated to go versus a defense he has torched over his past few meetings. Peterson averaged 4.6 yards per carry when the teams met in Week 8, and piled up 409 rushing yards in two games versus the Packers in 2012.
Fantasy Spin: Whether he is full capacity or limited, healthy or ailing, Adrian Peterson needs to be started in fantasy leagues of all formats. He simply presents far too high of a ceiling and floor to be benched, especially when he is a top option among within a position that fantasy owners can never have enough depth at. Fantasy owners can start Peterson with confidence at his usual RB1 designation. His handcuff, Toby Gerhart, can be safely benched.
