New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks' status for Sunday's matchup versus the Dallas Cowboys is in question, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Hakeem Nicks’ status in question for Giants, fantasy owners, per report
The Giants may be without Hakeem Nicks on Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Schefter reported that a source close to the situation has reason to doubt that the Giants' No. 2 receiver will suit up after an abbreviated practice week. However, Nicks is listed as probable despite missing Wednesday's practice and being limited on Thursday and Friday due to abdominal and groin injures. Should he not play, expect an uptick in snaps from Rueben Randle and Jerrel Jernigan in three-wide sets.
Fantasy Spin: With a 4:25 start time, fantasy owners need to have backup plans in place in the event Nicks cannot suit up. Should he do so, there is no guarantee that he would not be on a snap count, thus capping his upside even versus the league's bottom-ranked pass defense. As a result, expect a boost in production from Victor Cruz, and Randle makes for an intriguing WR3 candidate with upside that should be considered in all formats. Jernigan and tight end Brandon Myers are not on the fantasy radar.
