Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III struggled in his first two games without teammate Justin Blackmon. Shorts had only four catches for 64 yards in Weeks 10 and 11 combined, but bounced back with a much stronger game Sunday in the Jaguars' 13-6 victory over the Houston Texans.
Cecil Shorts bounces back for Jaguars, fantasy owners
The Jaguars wide receiver had his best game in a few weeks Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts caught eight passes -- tying his season high -- for 71 yards Sunday. In a game without much offense, he led the Jaguars in receptions, targets and receiving yards.
Fantasy impact: Shorts still has only one score and one hundred-yard game on the season. After almost 300 yards in his first three games, Shorts was looking like a viable low-end WR2 candidate, even with awful quarterbacks throwing to him. At this point, though, he’s a mid-level flex play at best and lacks the upside of some of his more talented brethren. If you’re desperate, Shorts can be a decent play, but he’s not someone you want to rely on.
