The speedy wideout hauled-in a 60-yard gain in the first quarter, but was held in check for the rest of the game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Smith showcased what he does best, reeling in a 60-yard bomb down the sideline in the first quarter. Quarterback Joe Flacco threw a perfect deep pass with the wind at his back, placing it only where the outstretched hands of Smith could reel it in. Despite tight coverage by Antonio Cromartie, Smith hauled in the second-biggest play of the game from scrimmage.
Fantasy Spin: Other than that big gainer, Smith was held in check, finishing the day with two catches for 74 yards. It was Smith’s highest yardage total in three weeks, though it is the first time in that span that he was held out of the end zone. Fantasy owners will still take the yardage total in a day that could have been much worse.
It's games like this that show why Smith makes for a good WR2, because the chance for him to capitalize for a big play always presents itself. That will remain the case in Week 13 when the Ravens square off versus a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that just allowed 237 receiving yards to Josh Gordon.
