Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had his team in it to the very end, but was ultimately unable to lead his team to victory against the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. The Patriots won that game, 34-31, and Manning had the worst game of his season by a longshot.
Peyton Manning has disappointing day for fantasy owners against Patriots
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning struggled in a losing effort to the New England Patriots on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Manning completed just 19 of 36 passes for a paltry 150 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He did throw three interceptions in an earlier contest, but also had more than 350 yards and four touchdowns in that game, so the uncharacteristically low yardage total in Sunday’s game sticks out the most at this point.
The Broncos have the No. 1 passing attack in the NFL, led by Manning. He’s been the most productive quarterback out there, and at this point, two passing touchdowns is even considered on the low end, as he’d only done it or worse thre other times this season.
Fantasy Impact: In other words, Manning was a fantasy disappointment this week. The Broncos are now 9-2 on the season and still in control of the AFC West, and Manning remains one of the absolute top fantasy football options going forward, but it has to be said that he definitely disappointed this week. The positive touchdown to interception ratio definitely helps things, but it was a poor outing given what he’s done thus far. He’s obviously still a must-start going forward.
