Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin successfully returned from a hamstring injury on Sunday, though he didn't have a big game as he hoped. Austin, who had missed the previous three games, played in 48 of 65 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the New York Giants.
Miles Austin returns from injury, has poor fantasy performance
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin played in 48 snaps in his return from injury on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Austin has missed five games in total due to his hamstring injury. When he initially sustained the injury, rookie receiver Terrance Williams was playing well. That coupled with Dez Bryant being excellent and Austin's expensive contract, many felt that Austin could lose his starting job and eventually his place on the team.
But Williams has struggled in recent weeks, and only managed one catch for 10 yards on Sunday. This game was obviously a chance for Austin to re-establish himself as a threat. He only managed one catch on three targets for 17 yards, unfortunately.
Fantasy Impact: It's worth noting that Austin played in seven more snaps than Williams, according to Rotoworld. The team clearly wants Austin to succeed, so he'll get more chances going forward. Whether or not he'll make the most of those chances is anybody's guess. The Cowboys face the Oakland Raiders next, and if Austin can't perform there, he will have little to no fantasy value.
