Fantasy football waiver wire: 5 quarterbacks to target for Week 13
The bye weeks are over and the fantasy playoffs are just around the corner. Here are five waiver wire quarterbacks who might help you for the stretch run.

Now things get serious in the fantasy world. The bye weeks are over and the playoffs are just a couple weeks away. There are big stakes on the line and every move counts, including the moves you make on the waiver wire. With that in mind, here are five quarterbacks who could help you out in your quest for fantasy glory.
Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals (owned in 40 percent of leagues)
It's time to start taking the Cardinals seriously. Palmer continued his hot streak on Sunday, carving up the Colts defense for 314 yards and two touchdowns. More importantly, he has kept the mistakes down and has now gone two straight games without an interception. The 7-4 Cardinals are firmly in the playoff hunt, and Palmer has a plus matchup with the Eagles next week. Pick him up while you can.
Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (owned in 21 percent of leagues)
Somehow, Glennon is making Greg Schiano look smart for ditching Josh Freeman. He has quietly entered the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation after another solid performance in Sunday's win over the Lions. Glennon threw for 247 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions as the Bucs won their third game in a row. He's not lighting the box score on fire, but Glennon has vastly exceeded expectations. He gets his biggest test yet when the Bucs visit Carolina.
Josh McCown, Chicago Bears (owned in 19 percent of leagues)
It's somewhat of a mystery that McCown is still available in this many leagues. Jay Cutler isn't expected back for at least another week, and McCown has continued to perform well in the box score, although he threw his first interception of the year against the Rams. McCown has a good matchup against the Vikings and remains on the QB2 radar for the time being.
Matt McGloin, Oakland Raiders (owned in 3 percent of leagues)
The Raiders lost a heartbreaker to the Titans and are probably out of the playoff picture for good, but McGloin has done well enough to earn the starting job over Terrelle Pryor. Oakland has already confirmed that the rookie will start against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Short-week games are always a dicey proposition in fantasy, but McGloin has a good matchup against Dallas' atrocious defense. He's worth a play in two-quarterback leagues.
Matt Flynn, Green Bay Packers (owned in 2 percent of leagues)
Flynnsanity back? The Packers gave up on Scott Tolzien midway through Sunday's tie with the Vikings, and Flynn kept them in the game, completing 21-of-36 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. The Packers are desperate to get Aaron Rodgers back, but he's not expected to be ready for the Thanksgiving game. Flynn is the current favorite to start against the Lions, and will have a decent matchup against a defense that was beaten by Mike Glennon. He's just a one-week emergency QB2 with Rodgers' return imminent.
