Robert Griffin III had no answer for a relentless 49ers defense on Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Griffin completed 17-of-27 passes for 120 yards and an interception, and connected with just four different receivers. For most of the night, Griffin looked lost versus a dominant defensive front that outmuscled the Redskins offensive line, and the second-year quarterback had no room to scramble and was inaccurate on his hot reads. The absences of Jordan Reed and Leonard Hankerson were felt, as Griffin could not find receivers on intermediate routes with any consistency. Add it all up and a long night is to be had under center, and that's what Griffin's was.
Fantasy Spin: Griffin’s upside as a runner and the frequency of his team being down by a large margin can translate into him being a king in fantasy football garbage time. That was not in the books versus a defense as stout as the 49ers, and the inconsistency in the early stages of the game was put on display once again.
There isn't an easy matchup ahead versus the New York Giants in Week 13, and with it being a week where no other teams are on a bye, fantasy owners wouldn't be faulted for starting a different quarterback with the fantasy playoffs on the horizon. Griffin remains a boom-or-bust play, but a QB2.
