San Diego Chargers rookie wide receiver Keenan Allen has been strong in recent weeks for the team, with two touchdowns and two hundred-yard games in the team's last three outings. Sunday against the Washington Redskins, he looks to continue that strong production.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Keenan Allen
The rookie wide receiver has been a pleasant surprise for the Chargers this year. Can he keep up his strong performance Sunday? We break down the fantasy implications.

Allen missed the season-opening game, then caught only three passes for 30 total yards in the next two games. His performance improved after that, though, with 80 yards in Week 4; 115 yards and a score in Week 5; and 107 yards and a score in Week 6. He is No. 2 on the team in receiving yards behind tight end Antonio Gates.
Fantasy impact: Allen has gotten much more recent fantasy attention than the team's other main wide receivers, Eddie Royal and Vincent Brown. Royal had five scores in the team's first two games, but has only one touchdown since. Brown, meanwhile, had 117 yards in Week 5 against the Raiders, but hasn't had more than 41 yards in any other game, and has only one touchdown on the season.
All that said, Allen has been good, but hasn’t really set himself a definitive tier above Royal and (primarily) Brown. If doing rankings, Allen would be above the other two, but they’d all be close to one another. Allen is a flex play at receiver, but if one of the other options in San Diego outperforms him, it wouldn’t be a shock.
