With the exception of a few splash plays, Tennesee Titans running back Chris Johnson has once again been a disappointment among fantasy owners thus far.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Chris Johnson
The Titans have not received much production from their feature-back in 2012, and may shake things up in the backfield as a result. We break down the fantasy implications.

For a player with the advantageous position on the depth chart that few can boast, Johnson has once again been unproductive. He is averaging 3.2 yards per carry and has yet to find the end zone on the ground this year. Additionally, Johnson is on pace for a career-low 866 rushing yards, nearly 400 fewer than his output in 2012.
Fantasy Spin: As if things couldn't get much worse for Johnson's owners, coach Mike Munchak recently expressed his desire to get Shonn Greene more involved in the running game, saying he would like to give the short-yardage back 15 carries per game. If he remains true to his word, that could doom Johnson's point totals not just for this Sunday versus the Rams, but for the rest of the season.
On the season, the Titans are averaging 27 rushing attempts per game, which would not leave Johnson much room to capitalize, especially at the rate he has sustained so far this year. And if the Rams defense is able to do to the Titans what it did to the Seahawks a week ago and does not let them sustain drives, Johnson's chances for a big game can be dismissed altogether.
