Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Mike James didn't have a bad first start for the team last Thursday, with 64 all-purpose yards, but didn't do anything spectacular, either, as the team fell to 0-7. This week James will look to be more productive as Tampa Bay travels across the country to face the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Mike James
With the Buccaneers’ star running back still sidelined, will James be able to pick up the slack against a stout defense? We break down the fantasy implications.

James had 39 rushing yards on ten carries, adding 25 receiving yards on four receptions, in the Week 8 game. He managed 45 rushing yards on 14 carries the Sunday before, taking over after starter Doug Martin was lost with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy impact: James only got four days to prepare for his first career start, and now has had ten to prepare for his second, which can be nothing but good news for the sixth-round rookie. Unfortunately, that’s maybe the only piece of good news, as James is surrounded by a ever-weakening team (the newest loss is wide receiver Mike Williams to the IR), has an inexperienced quarterback, and is traveling across the country to face a great defense with maybe the biggest home-field advantage in the NFL.
All the negative factors will likely be too much for James to overcome. With six byes, some owners aren’t going to have a choice but to start him, but anyone with an option ought to seriously consider looking elsewhere.
