Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden has had a career marked by occasional big games and all-too-common injuries. His 2013 has been emblematic of that -- McFadden has missed a game with injury, left others early, and had two huge fantasy games. Sunday, he looks to have more of the good and less of the bad as he and the Raiders take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Darren McFadden
The Raiders running back has only had a couple big games this year, and has battled injury. Can he put it all together Sunday? We break down the fantasy implications.

McFadden has 19 rushes for 129 yards in Week 2, adding 28 receiving yards on four catches. Then, last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns. He has two other games with a score, but his yardage was kept in check. All in all, McFadden has 422 all-purpose yards and four scores in six games this season.
Fantasy impact: Any offensive player with a pulse probably needs to be played against a struggling Philadelphia defense. Coming off a bye week and a big game against Pittsburgh, McFadden appears to be plenty healthy and primed for a big performance.
There’s always the risk the brittle McFadden could be hurt at any moment, but regardless, he’s basically a must-start in Week 9.
