Fantasy football projections, Week 9: Titans vs. Rams featuring Jake Locker, Nate Washington and Zac Stacy

We break down the Week 9 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

The Week 9 matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the St. Louis Rams could very well be of the low scoring variety. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Tennessee Titans

Quarterback Jake Locker should be a popular fantasy play this week as he was looking a strong fantasy QB option before a hip injury cost him two games. Locker managed to throw for 326 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in his Week 7 return, and collected a pair of touchdown passes with the game out of reach in the fourth quarter. His mobility should be improved coming off of the team's Week 8 bye.

Locker will look to connect with wide receiver Nate Washington. Washington has emerged as the team's number one receiver after Kenny Britt's lackluster start to the season caused him to free fall on the team's depth chart. Washington managed to catch just three passes on 10 targets against the 49ers. Although the Rams' secondary is a good one, they'll be on the field a lot on Sunday, which should allow Washington's production to increase as the game goes along.

St. Louis Rams

The fantasy community no doubt expected the entire Rams offense to falter against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 with quarterback Kellen Clemens. Although the final score of the game was closer than most experts anticipated, that is exactly what happened. Clemens was intercepted twice in that game and although the defense did well containing the Seahawks offense, Clemens simply couldn't get his team into the end zone.

The lone bright spot in the game for the Rams was running back Zac Stacy. Stacy ran for a career-high 134 yards against the Seahawks to go with 27 touches, also a personal best. Stacy ran for an impressive 5.2 yards per carry in the game and was the biggest reason the Rams were able to get in field goal range and keep the game respectable. He could be in for another big game against the Titans, a team that gives up the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
