Fantasy football projections, Week 9: Buccaneers vs. Seawhawks featuring Vincent Jackson, Russell Wilson and Golden Tate
We break down the Week 9 matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Head coach Greg Schiano is really on the hot seat now as he has led his team to a winless first half of the season. Though experts have debated the merits of the coach all year long, part of the blame can be placed on injuries and the lack of having a star quarterback in a quarterback-driven league. Luckily, the challenging times in Tampa haven't stopped wide receiver Vincent Jackson from producing. Jackson put up 79 yards on five catches against a very good Carolina Panthers secondary last week. Prior to that, he scored four touchdowns in his previous two games and posted over 100 receiving yards in each.
When rookie quarterback Mike Glennon struggles to move the ball through the air, he'll have to count on backup running back Mike James to carry the load. With star Doug Martin (torn labrum) still out due to injury, James carried the ball just 10 times for 39 yards against the Panthers. Needless to say, any fantasy owner who owns a Buccaneers player outside of Jackson is better suited looking elsewhere as a road game against Seattle could result in a disastrous outcome for the Bucs.
Seattle Seahawks
Although the Seahawks managed to walk away with another win by topping the St. Louis Rams last week, fantasy owners have to be disappointed with the production from quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams, which isn't that bad. However, he was sacked seven times by the Rams defensive line, which really put a damper on his fantasy output. That said, Wilson is regarded as a mobile quarterback so he shouldn't have a problem escaping the Buccaneers in Week 9.
When Wilson looks to go to the air, he will have to depend on wide receiver Golden Tate. Teammate Sidney Rice (torn ACL) is out for the year, and Percy Harvin (hip) will likely wait one more week before returning to the lineup. Tate was the one player for the Seahawks who did have an outstanding fantasy effort against the Rams. Tate caught five passes for 93 yards and scored two touchdowns in the contest. He only had one touchdown on the season prior to the game against St. Louis.
