New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes will not play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday due to a hamstring strain. He was ruled out on Friday and did not practice all week.
Santonio Holmes injury update: Jets won’t have Holmes, fantasy owners shouldn’t have him anyway
Santonio Holmes is out once again. We break down the fantasy implications.

Holmes has been out of the lineup since Sep. 29 and this is the second season in a row in which he's been injured for more than a month. The worst part is that before he went down he was playing well and racked up a 154-yard, one-score game on Sep. 22 against the Bills.
The Jets have been alternating their winning and losing and it has a lot to do with their passing game. Quarterback Geno Smith still hasn't quite gotten on the same page with his receivers and he hasn't found a go-to guy. Jeremy Kerley seems to be the closest thing to it, but he had just three catches for 27 yards last week against the Bengals. Meanwhile David Nelson has started to heat up, catching eight balls on 12 targets in Week 8.
Fantasy impact: Obviously, Holmes should be cut while Nelson is a decent plug-and-play guy for owners that need a receiver. Nelson has a decent upside against a team that gives up a lot of points.
