New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is probable to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. His thigh injury caused him to be limited in practice all week.
Julian Edelman injury update: Thigh issue not much of a concern for fantasy owners
Julian Edelman’s thigh issue doesn’t seem to be a much of a problem. We break down the fantasy implications.

Things went south for Edelman and he saw just two targets last week, catching both for just seven yards. His numbers have been trending downward now that Danny Amendola is back. Of course, saying Amendola is back isn't saying much as he can usually stay healthy for about one quarter.
The return of Rob Gronkowski hurts the amount of looks that Edelman will get. Tom Brady is also struggling, so the Patriots can't produce four fantasy assets like they way Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos can.
Fantasy impact: There’s no reason to be counting on Edelman. Most of his value was in being Amendola’s backup, but with Gronkowski back there isn’t even enough opportunity in that regard. Fantasy owners can cut him in almost any format and it will take at least a 20-team league to start him this week. Amendola is a better play this week in a tough matchup.
