Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin will not play against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. He was ruled out earlier this week and did not practice all week.
Doug Martin injury update: Won’t play in Week 9, still worth a fantasy stash
Doug Martin isn’t going to play this week for the Bucs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Martin sustained a shoulder injury in Week 7's game against the Falcons on a tough hit along the sidelines and hasn't returned to action since. The medical staff diagnosed him with a torn labrum and he'll eventually need surgery to repair it.
The news isn’t all bad, though. The team could have Martin in Week 10 and for the rest of the season as long as he can play through the pain. Obviously, if he’s going to play through that type of injury, the Bucs are going to have to manage him.
Mike James has been taking over as the starter and he was awful in Week 8, racking up 38 yards on 10 carries against the Panthers. Carolina has of the better defenses in the league, but things don't get much better against the Seahawks this week. That's especially true in Seattle.
Fantasy impact: Martin should still be owned and it’s not really a good idea to play James this week. James is still a starter and nothing is certain on Martin, so he’s also worthy of ownership in most leagues.
