The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a tough loss against the Detroit Lions, but it hasn't been for lack of scoring. They get some home cooking against a terrible Minnesota Vikings defense on Sunday. As for those Vikings, they haven't figured anything out on offense and even Adrian Peterson has been an average running back with the lack of production.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 9: Vikings vs. Cowboys
The Cowboys don’t look like a first-place team, but their offense has been doing well in the stats department. They’ll face the Vikings and their 1-6 record in the early-afternoon start.

Cowboys
The Vikings can't stop anyone this season. Well, except the Jaguars, but that doesn't count. The loss of Harrison Smith in the secondary has made them vulnerable to the deep ball, so Bryant and Williams both have excellent chances for 100-yard days. Witten should get a lot of looks in the red zone.
Deep starts: Cole Beasley
Beasley has been used as the slot guy and he’s been able to produce 15 catches in the last four weeks. There’s very little reason to start him and we’re talking very, very deep PPR leagues here.
Sit: Anyone else
The Cowboys have their offense set. Bryant, Williams and Witten get almost all the targets while, Murray is coming back and should be healthy.
Vikings
Start: Adrian Peterson, Kyle Rudolph
Even though he’s having a down year, fantasy owners simply can’t sit Peterson. He is going to get all he can handle and he’s just one play away from busting loose for a long TD. Plus, Peterson did the majority of his damage in the second half last year, so there’s still plenty of hope. The Cowboys should blitz Christian Ponder a lot, so Rudolph will be a popular hot-route guy.
Deep starts: Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson, Jerome Simpson
The Vikings are going to have to get their passing game going to help keep eight out of the box for Peterson. It doesn’t really have a nice ring to it considering their lackluster scoring numbers, so the majority of owners should just steer clear.
Sit: Christian Ponder
Yeah, he lost his job to Josh Freeman and Matt Cassel, but now he's back as the starter. The Cowboys are probably going to eat him for lunch and the Vikings are just terrible on offense. They rank 27th in passing yards per game and Ponder has a 69.4 passer rating to go with two passing TDs and five picks.
