New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is inactive for Sunday's game versus the New York Jets with a knee injury.
Marques Colston inactive for Saints, can be benched in fantasy leagues
The Saints’ No. 1 wideout has been a disappointment over the last few games and will now sit out with a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Colston was a game-time decision after being held out of practice on Wednesday and Friday, and getting a limited session in on Thursday. Earlier in the week, it appeared as if the Saints were just taking precautionary measures to keep their veteran receiver fresh, but Colston barely practiced all week after getting in a full game versus the Bills.
Fantasy Spin: It's difficult to continue to trust Colston in the near future, especially when taking into account that he already has a lengthy injury history. Compounding matters further, Colston has totaled just 44 yards over his last three games, losing targets to the likes of Pierre Thomas and emerging rookie Kenny Stills, and now that Jimmy Graham is on the mend, he will get looks as well.
Going forward, Colston still presents upside being on the field for the majority of snaps among a high-octane passing attack, but if anything, he’s been a decoy. It’s unreasonable to pen him as anything but a boom-or-bust WR4. For this week, expect a boost in production from Stills, Thomas and Sproles.
