With four straight games under 40 rushing yards, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson was looking like a fantasy afterthought coming into Week 9. Coming out of Week 9, Johnson might have done enough to vault himself back into a serious fantasy role, as the back led the Titans offense to a XX-XX victory over the St. Louis Rams.
Chris Johnson reminds Titans, fantasy owners of his glory days
The Titans running back had his best game of the season Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson ran the ball 23 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the game, adding three receptions for 20 yards. His second touchdown -- a 19-yard run with just under three minutes to go -- put Tennessee ahead to stay late in the game.
Fantasy impact: This was Johnson's best fantasy day since Week 7 of last season, when he ran for 195 yards and two scores against the Buffalo Bills. He's been wildly inconsistent since -- he bookended a 122-yard game late last season with games of 44 and 28 yards; he followed up a 90-yard game in Week 3 of this season with all-purpose yards in Week 4.
Sunday’s scores were Johnson’s first two rushing touchdowns of the season, though he has scored twice on receptions. He’s not the fantasy monster he used to be, but Johnson’s clear potential for the occasional huge game makes him a perfectly good RB2 and/or flex play most weeks.
