Nick Foles erupts for fantasy owners, tying NFL record with 7 touchdowns vs. Raiders
The Eagles offense was in need of a shot in the arm, and it certainly got one with quarterback Nick Foles to say the least. We break down the fantasy implications.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles posted the the best game of his young career, and tied an NFL record in the process.
Foles threw for seven touchdowns in the team’s 49-20 rout of the Oakland Raiders, tying a mark that six other quarterbacks matched, including Peyton manning in Week 1. Foles eclipsed his Week 7 yardage and touchdown totals on his first drive, and he finished the game completing 22-of-28 passes for 407 yards and the seven scores.
Foles found Riley Cooper for a three of those touchdowns, including a 63-yard bomb early in the second quarter. Foles also found each of his pass-catching tight ends for touchdowns, connecting with both Brent Celek and Zach Ertz in the end zone. DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy also hauled-in touchdown grabs for good measure.
Fantasy Spin: This is a breath of fresh air for fantasy owners with Eagles players, considering this was an offensive unit that failed to score a touchdown in each of its past two games. Though Foles has flashed plenty of potential during his NFL tenure, it’s safe to say he has never exploded like this. He will certainly have a chance to stay at the helm for the Eagles offense in the near future, likely even when Michael Vick becomes healthy.
Foles will have a bigger challenge versus the Packers in Week 10, and though he is not a start-worthy option in a week with Cleveland, Kansas City, New England and the New York Jets on a bye, he has certainly asserted that he should be owned in all formats as a backup option.
