New England Patriots star pass-catchers Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola finally both had big games Sunday, and those big games were crammed into just one half of play. The two combined for a pair of scores as the Patriots lead the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-10 at halftime.
Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola both have big first halves for Pats, fantasy owners
The Patriots stars both scored in the first half of Sunday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gronkowski caught seven passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in the first half Sunday, while Amendola caught two passes for 91 yards and a score. Both Gronkowski, the tight end, and Amendola, the wide receiver, found the end zone for the first time on the season.
A week ago, the two big names in New England were on the field together for the first time all season, but did very little, combining for only 42 receiving yards against the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy impact: This is the type of performance Patriots fans and fantasy owners had in mind when Gronkowski and Amendola were united in New England; it only took nine weeks to get there.
The two are very talented, if oft-injured, pass-catchers. As long as they can stay healthy -- no small order -- they will be monster fantasy plays. Unless anything changes, Gronkowski is fantasy’s No. 2 tight end, and Amendola is an obvious WR2.
