San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead proved to be too much for the Washington Redskins defense to handle despite the Chargers' losing effort.
Danny Woodhead totals nearly 100 yards for fantasy owners in loss
The Chargers fell just short of a victory on Sunday versus the Redskins, but Danny Woodhead gave a winning effort. We break down the fantasy implications.

Woodhead routinely gashed the Redskins at the second level, getting open on screen passes and draw plays, finishing with over 98 total yards. Woodhead logged his total by chipping in with a modest 21 rushing yards on a team-high seven carries, but 77 receiving yards on a team-high nine receptions.
His day could have been even bigger after coming within an inch of the pylon on a would-be go-ahead touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, and Woodhead was also stuffed on a run at first-and-goal at the one-yard line.
Fantasy Spin: After posting a respectable, but season-low in total yards in Week 8, Woodhead resumed his fantasy relevance in PPR leagues by matching his season-high in catches and posting a new season high in receiving yards. Woodhead remains a must-start in all PPR-leagues, as he is on pace to amass over 1,000 total yards and 98 catches on the season. That is more than welcome value for owners who were savvy enough to snag him in the late rounds of drafts. Start him with confidence in Week 10 versus the Broncos.
