In his second game back from injury, Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson had trouble accumulating yardage Sunday. Jackson had 76 all-purpose yards in the game as the Falcons lost to the Carolina Panthers, 34-10.
Steven Jackson still struggling to accumulate as fantasy owners wait
The Falcons running back got 76 total yards in his second game back from injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson had a rushing touchdown called back because of a penalty in the second quarter, but otherwise had trouble breaking big plays against a strong Carolina defense that has been especially stifling against running backs all season. For the game, he had 57 rushing yards on 13 carries, and 19 receiving yards on three catches.
Meanwhile, Jackson's backup, Jacquizz Rodgers, had an even tougher time of it. Rodgers had only 19 rushing yards on five carries and 25 receiving yards on six receptions. After being fairly productive with Jackson out to injury, Rodgers has only 63 yards combined in two games with Jackson back.
Fantasy impact: Jackson still hasn’t gotten back to full strength, but that is hollow comfort to fantasy owners who have been waiting for him to have a big game all season. Rodgers, meanwhile, is seeing any fantasy value he had erode in a hurry.
The Falcons' next game comes against the Seattle Seahawks, making it even more difficult to rely on either running back. Jackson still needs to be on rosters, though it might be wise to wait until he shows he can do it to start him. Rodgers, meanwhile, is droppable in all but the deepest of leagues.
