Joe Flacco posts steady fantasy stats in loss
The Ravens quarterback did OK for fantasy owners, but was unable to lead his team to victory against the Browns. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: There is no doubt that Sunday’s loss to the Browns was a statement game for Cleveland, who showed that the AFC North is no longer owned by the Ravens. The game was definitely closely contested and Flacco remained calm as usual.
He’s regarded as the type of quarterback that’s too conservative to be elite in the fantasy world, and although he is one of the highest-paid pivots in the NFL, the fact is that he makes most of his money in the playoffs.
The main reason most fantasy owners use Flacco is just to fill in for a quarterback who may be on a bye week. That said, his yardage totals of late have been respectable and he is averaging over 270 yards a game, which although it’s not an elite number, is enough to keep him on your roster as a backup.
