Cleveland Browns quarterback Jason Campbell has bruised ribs and is hopeful that he'll be able to play once the team returns from their bye week in Week 11, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Campbell was named the starter after Brandon Weeden imploded for the third or fourth time, and he's been playing well.
Jason Campbell has bruised ribs, solid fantasy option following bye
Cleveland Browns quarterback Jason Campbell has bruised ribs. We break down the fantasy implications.

He played particularly well against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, completing 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He out-performed Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who had 250 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. The Browns beat the Ravens, 24-18 and moved to 4-5 on the season.
Campbell injured his ribs in the game, but thus far, there's no indication that it is serious. The team is now on their bye week and will return against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. If Campbell is their starting quarterback at that point, they'll have a much better chance to win than if Weeden were under center.
Fantasy Impact: We said all along that Campbell was one of the better options for fantasy owners needing serious help at the quarterback position or bye week help, and Campbell solidified that. With Josh Gordon, Greg Little and Jordan Cameron, he should be successful going forward. He's more than a bye week pickup at this point.
