Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte asserted himself as one of the NFL's more versatile running backs versus the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
Matt Forte totals over 100 yards for fantasy owners for the 6th time this season
The Chicago Bears got another big performance from their feature back on Monday night, as Matt Forte totaled 179 yards and found the end zone. We break down the fantasy implications.

In a game that featured backup quarterbacks for both teams, Forte emerged as a much-needed safety valve for Josh McCown. Forte totaled 179 yards for the evening, racking up 125 on the ground and 54 in the receiving game. The Bears also turned to their feature back for their second touchdown on the evening, a 1-yard plunge that had normally been reserved for Michael Bush in Bears teams of the past.
Fantasy Spin: Regardless of who is under center for the Bears, the constant that they, as well as fantasy owners, can expect is Forte's production. On the season, Forte is on pace for a gaudy stat line of 1,948 total yards and 14 touchdowns, and that pace should continue next week versus a porous Lions defense. Fantasy owners can pen Forte into their lineups as an RB1 for as long as he continues to take the field, as he has recorded at least 91 total yards in every game this season.
