The New Orleans Saints could be without running back Darren Sproles when they take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, as his status for the game "remains unknown," according to Terrance Harris of the Times-Picayune. Sproles is dealing with a concussion, or rather, "concussion-like symptoms."
Darren Sproles status unknown for Sunday, fantasy value iffy due to concussion
New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles may not be ready to go by Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Sproles played against the New York Jets on Sunday but only managed a single reception for two yards before exiting with the head injury. He's been an effective weapon off and on this season, though he's been a bit more inconsistent than season's past. He has 30 carries for 118 yards and a touchdown, and 37 receptions for 368 yards and a touchdown through the air.
It's always big when Sproles can't play. Even when he's not getting touches, he's a matchup nightmare that has to be accounted for by opposing defenses, and it opens up a lot of the field for quarterback Drew Brees to do what he does best.
Fantasy Impact: Sproles fantasy owners don’t mind that he’s picking up the bulk of his yardage through the air. He’s not a No. 1 back by any means, and isn’t even is a RB2 in some leagues, but he has his uses and he’l be missed by fantasy owners as well as the Saints. It’ not confirmed that he’s out yet, but he’ll have some late-week concussion tests to pass before we know more.
