Fantasy Impact: Austin hasn’t produced anything at all for fantasy owners since Week 3. He was most likely a mid-round pick in fantasy drafts and expected to be the Cowboys possession receiver, meaning that he had considerable value in leagues that reward receptions.
Going into this week however, he's no doubt been dropped in most leagues, which is a good move considering there is no exact timetable for him to return to practice. To make matters worse for Austin, rookie Terrance Williams has supplanted him on the team's depth chart as he has simply outplayed Austin when given the opportunity.
That’s unfortunate for the veteran wide receiver as the Cowboys are going into a game against the Saints, which according to recent history means a high-scoring affair.
It would be a big surprise of Austin were to be in full uniform for the game, let alone make an impact in the fantasy world in Week 10.
