Fantasy football projections, Week 13: Dolphins vs. Jets featuring Ryan Tannehill, Geno Smith and Santonio Holmes
We break down the Week 13 matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.

Miami Dolphins
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill did what he could against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. He simply ran into a superior defense and was at the mercy of it, taking the loss. He still managed to complete 28 passes for 310 yards and a touchdown. Although he also threw an interception, that's a pretty solid game.
The Jets have a good defense in their own right, so Tannehill is going to have to connect with Rishard Matthews to move the chains and maybe hope for a few long bomb connections with Mike Wallace. Wallace caught five passes for 127 yards and a touchdown last week. He's proven inconsistent in his short time with the Dolphins. Fantasy owners can only hope he can put together a second straight strong performance in Week 13.
New York Jets
Geno Smith will need to step his game up against the Dolphins in Week 13. The rookie quarterback completed just nine passes against the Baltimore Ravens last week. That's simply not good enough to win against anyone. He was also sacked three times in the game and threw a pair of interceptions. The Ravens did a great job taking away time and space from him, that's for sure.
If Smith does bounce back against the Dolphins, wide receiver Santonio Holmes stands to benefit the most. He caught only one of Smith's nine completions and he was targeted just four times. Despite only three catches in his two games since returning from a hamstring injury, Holmes can't really take most of the blame. He'll need Smith to be more effective. If you're up for a late season gamble that might pay off for you, Smith and Holmes are definitely due for bounce-back performances.
