Fantasy football projections, Week 13: Broncos vs. Chiefs featuring Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and Jamaal Charles

The Week 13 matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs features two superior teams who are ironically both coming off losses. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

As much as the Broncos are somewhat evenly matched with the Chiefs, one has to believe they'll come out gunning on Sunday. Losing a 24-point lead to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will do that to you. Fantasy owners should look to Peyton Manning to have a big game this week. The AFC West title is no longer a given for the Broncos, especially if they lose on Sunday.

Manning will be up against Pro Bowler Eric Berry and the rest of a solid Chiefs secondary. Luckily, he'll have Demaryius Thomas on his side. Thomas struggled against Aqib Talib, but did manage four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. If he can get going earlier against the Chiefs, he'll be a good bet to find the end zone in Week 13. Thomas is second among all wide receivers in touchdowns with 10.

As good as the Chiefs are, nobody would compare their offense to that of the Broncos. They cannot hang with them through the air, but running back Jamaal Charles gives them a significant presence on the ground. He notched 157 total yards last week against the San Diego Chargers and found the end zone twice. He'll no doubt have to be at the top of his game if the Chiefs are to even the season series with the Broncos.

In the passing game, the Chiefs' best hope is to focus on stopping the Broncos. That's because quarterback Alex Smith simply doesn't have the supporting cast in front of him to compete. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been inconsistent all season, and the same can be said for Donnie Avery. Besides using Charles to run the ball, perhaps the Chiefs' best chance to move the ball is Dexter McCluster. He's quick and has reliable hands. He might be a sneaky good fantasy play this week.
