Peterson rushed the ball 35 times in the game for 211 yards, his most since he ran for 212 in Week 15 of 2012 and fourth-most of his distinguished career. Peterson also passed 10,000 career rushing yards in the game, the fifth player to do so within his first seven seasons, joining Eric Dickerson, LaDainian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, and Emmitt Smith.
Fantasy impact: Peterson went first in the vast majority of fantasy drafts in the preseason. He will likely finish Sunday second in fantasy scoring among running backs, just behind the Kansas City Chiefs' Jamaal Charles, but still -- Peterson's fantasy owners could scarcely be happier with his performance. It would have been nice if he had made it to the end zone, but no one can complain about 211 yards and 21 fantasy points.
