Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray predictably turned-in a big performance versus the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
DeMarco Murray racks up 155 total yards for fantasy owners in loss
The Cowboys got a phenomenal performance from their feature back on Monday night, but still got blown out on the road. We break down the fantasy implications.

Against the league’s bottom-ranked run defense, the Cowboys took to the ground early and often, establishing Murray as the focal point of the offense. It was ultimately the Cowboys own defense that put a damper on Murray’s potential since they could not keep the Bears offense off the field, but Murray still totaled 155 yards, including 146 on the ground. Murray nearly made his night even bigger with a run that nearly resulted in a touchdown, but he was instead ruled out at the 2-yard line.
Fantasy Spin: With a matchup versus the Green Bay Packers next week , Murray remains squarely in RB2 territory, but has a matchup with plenty of upside. The Packers have now allowed 1,411 rushing yards to tailbacks in 13 games, and if the Cowboys commit to the run, their feature back could be in for a huge game. Should Aaron Rodgers remain out of action, the Cowboys are less likely to be engaged in a shootout through the air. Murray's value gets a boost if that is the case.
