Jones-Drew wants to play through the injury, and has done that more often than naught, given that he’s been banged up all season but hasn’t missed a game. That said, hamstring injuries are tougher to get through, and the chance of further injury is generally high.
The Jaguars have used the “doubtful” tag three times this season, and each time, the player sat out, as noted by Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Jones-Drew has struggled this season, and the game in which he got injured in Week 14 was actually his most productive of the season. He carried the ball 14 times for 103 yards in that one, and it was the only time all season in which he had 100-plus yards rushing the football.
Fantasy Impact: It’s definitely been a down year for Jones-Drew. He’s carried the ball 208 times for 719 yards and just five touchdowns, and is on track for one of his worst seasons to date. Jones-Drew was very good at one point, but he has slowed down considerably. He is obviously not a smart fantasy option this week.
