Fantasy football projections, Week 15: Eagles vs. Vikings featuring Nick Foles, Leasean McCoy and Cordarelle Patterson

The Week 15 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings isn't exactly going to be a defensive clinic. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Quarterback Nick Foles is one of the hotter plays in the fantasy playoffs this week. He's been the most consistent thing to happen to the Eagles offense in a while. This week, he'll have the opportunity to unleash an air assault all over a Vikings squad that is ill equipped to defend it. That bodes well for receiver Riley Cooper and Desean Jackson, who should both see a ton of passes coming their way this week.

No matter how many touchdowns Foles throws though, everyone on the field knows that LeSean McCoy will handle the bulk of the offense. He torched the Detroit Lions last week, proving he can make quick cuts and elude tacklers regardless of weather conditions. That makes him a dangerous player indoors and a must start in all leagues.

The Vikings are in quite the bind injury-wise, particularly at the running back position. Though they are only in the midst of evaluating talent for next year after a disappointing 2013 season, the situation is throwing fantasy owners for a loop. Adrian Peterson (heel) is expected out and Toby Gerhart (hamstring) isn't expected to play, either. If they both sit out, Mike Asiata would be next in line to start. In just under two seasons, Asiata has three career carries. That's not enough for fantasy owners to start him in the playoffs, nor is it enough for the Vikings to rely on him heavily.

The Vikings have also decided to go back to Matt Cassel at quarterback even though Christian Ponder (concussion) has been cleared to play. Cassel will more than likely not have a lot of support on the ground, which means he'll be looking to Cordarrelle Patterson to make up for that. Patterson had a career-high 141 yards and a touchdown last week and although he is a gamble in the fantasy playoffs, he's the one receiver in Minnesota with some major upside.
