Maurice Jones-Drew injury: Jaguars RB doubtful for fantasy owners
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is doubtful for Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Editor’s Update: MJD is INACTIVE.
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is listed as doubtful for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Jones-Drew is dealing with a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 14 against the Houston Texans. Jones-Drew has said that he plans to play and he's no stranger to playing through injury at this point in his career.
The chances of further injury when dealing with a hamstring injury is significantly higher than most injuries, however. It’s too easy to come back feeling like you’re able to play, and then suffering a serious injury. Jones-Drew’s career already appears on the decline, and another big injury would make things even worse.
Fantasy Impact: While Jones-Drew has definitely struggled this season, he did manage 14 carries for 103 yards against the Texans, before he went down with the injury. Unfortunately, that marks his best game this season. This kind of injury won’t help his struggles in the least. Fantasy owners should take note that the Jaguars haven’t used the “doubtful” tag without making that player inactive that week. Look for a backup and have him ready at this point.
